Schynige Platte
Alpine Views, Herbal Garden & Mountain Legends

A memorable slow hiking day at one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Jungfrau region.

🚞 We start in Interlaken and take the train to Wilderswil, where the nostalgic cogwheel railway climbs 1,400 metres up to Schynige Platte. A leisurely ascent with breathtaking views – a masterpiece of alpine railway engineering since 1893.

📸 Time to slow down
We walk at a relaxed pace – with space to take photos, pause and enjoy your self-brought picnic.

📖 History & Mountain Myth
You’ll discover:

✨ A personal, enriching experience – with time to observe, reflect and truly take it all in.

Giessbach Falls & Iseltwald
Waterfall, Belle Époque & Slow Hiking by Lake Brienz

This scenic hike takes you from the spectacular 14-tiered Giessbach Falls along one of the most beautiful lakeside trails in Switzerland – to the postcard-perfect village of Iseltwald on the shores of turquoise Lake Brienz.

🚂 Start in Interlaken – train ride to Brienz
🚢 Continue by boat to Giessbach
🚋 Ride the oldest funicular in Europe up to the historic Grandhotel Giessbach – where 19th-century high society once came to rest, recover, and reconnect.

✨ From there, we begin our relaxed hike:

We marvel at the powerful Giessbach Falls as they cascade down 14 levels – and even walk behind the waterfall!
Then we follow the peaceful lakeside trail through shady forests, with constant views of the turquoise lake and surrounding mountains.

🧺 We stop for a self-brought picnic in the forest and recharge in the fresh alpine air.

📸 In Iseltwald – a fairytale lakeside village – the famous Netflix Pier awaits.
We take time to pause, enjoy the view, and capture the moment.

A day filled with variety, impressions, calm, and connection to nature.
